Black Pepper Tofu

In case you are not a tofu lover, you will be one with this! A combination of pepper and maple syrup dominates the actual taste of tofu making this dish more interesting. Super quick to make and goes well with rice or as topping on noodles. Add any greens of choice to make this dish healthier!

Servings: 1-2





Ingredients

  • 1 Tofu Block

  • 1/4 cup Corn Flour

  • 2 tbsp Oil

  • 2 tbsp Garlic

  • 1/4 cup Onion

  • 1/4 cup Red Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 3-4 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup

  • Green Onion for garnish



Instructions

  • Press tofu for 20mins.

  • Cut tofu to cubes, dust with corn-flour, and keep aside.

  • In a pan add oil, when oil is hot add dusted tofu and fry till tofu turns golden yellow in color.

  • Add minced garlic, chopped onion, and cook for 3-4 mins.

  • Add sliced red pepper and cook for 2 mins.

  • Add black pepper, salt, and mix to coat all tofu cubes evenly.

  • Add soy sauce, maple syrup, and cook on low for 2 mins.

  • Turn off flame and garnish with green onion.
