Tofu Burger

Switch up the meaty hamburger patties and try this deluxe tofu burger recipe instead. Including many vegetables this veggie burger will also appeal to carnivores around the table, guaranteed!


Easy and Quick to do, this burger is perfect for lunch or dinner. You can also bake the patties in the oven if you prefer, at 375 ˚F for 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 454 g firm tofu, crumbled

  • 1 small carrot, grated

  • 1/2 red pepper, finely chopped

  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp. teaspoon vegetable oil

  • 2 eggs, beaten or Flax seeds eggs for the vegan version

  • 2 tbsp. flour

  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • to taste salt and pepper



Instructions

  • Press tofu for 20 minutes, chop vegetables while pressing it.

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients well.

  • Add salt and pepper.


  • Shape 8 patties. Reserve.


  • In a skillet, heat a little oil and brown the patties on both sides.


  • Serve the patties in hamburger buns.

  • Top with the garnish of your choice.
